It might be a relatively new Oxford tradition, but every year has seen Community Carols on the Waterways gain new fans. Set up as a Christmas carol event for the Waterways Estate, it features music from the City of Oxford Silver Band, plus seasonal food and drink.
Keep an eye out for Father Christmas – he likes to arrive by narrowboat (although you’ll find he has to use the door - I think he struggles with those tiny chimneys!).
If you’re less familiar with the area, Waterways Green is a lovely community green space next to the Oxford Canal, and a short walk from the heart of Summertown.
Community Carols on the Waterways will be held at 5pm – 7pm on Saturday December 4th (that's tomorrow!) at Waterways Green, Frenchay Road, OX2 6TF.
