Following the latest lockdown measures from the government, businesses across Oxford are closing. We are compiling a list of ones that are open or offering deliveries which you can find through our coronavirus info page

Special Offer September

The official Eat Out ot Help Out scheme may have wrapped up, but many of Oxford’s generous restaurants are still drawing us in with some hearty discounts. In August, the government funded 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks, up to a value of £10, on Mondays-Wednesdays. Throughout September, restaurants are offering the same (or better) terms, funded by the venues themselves - you can show your appreciation by reserving a table in advance to help with social distancing arrangements (and tipping generously!)

The Jericho Tavern

The Walton Street institution is the perfect spot to grab some pub grub, with a substantial number of veggie options on the menu. The pub is offering the same terms as the government’s EOTHO scheme, but you’ll need to be quick, as the extension runs until 9th September.

Dodo Pubs

Living up to their mantra of ‘Eat, Drink and be social’, The Rickety Press, The Rusty Bicycle and The Up In Arms (pictured) are offering 40% off their entire food menu on Mon-Weds for the rest of the month. This means you can get a whole kilo of saucy wings for just over a tenner, among other delicious bargains.

Spiced Roots

Ignore the Autumnal chill creeping in and escape to the Caribbean, with 50% off Spiced Roots' authentic cuisine on Mondays-Wednesdays this month. To sweeten the deal, their EOTHO extension includes half-price beers and rum punch! Pre-booking online is essential - and in high demand, so don't delay.

The Old Post Office, Wallingford

This cosy spot is a favourite with one of DI’s resident foodies, particularly for brunches, roasts and pizzas. They’re offering the standard EOTHO terms (see above) - you’ll need to download a voucher to claim your discount. The offer also applies at the Old Post Office's sister venues: the Crown and Thistle in Abingdon and the Blue Boar in Witney.

The Coconut Tree

Offering sensational Sri Lankan street food, tapas-style - you’ll want to bring along your whole household so that you can try as many dishes as possible. 50% off all food (no £10 cap) on Mon-Weds throughout September.

The Hamptons-inspired small plate aficionados offer lunch and dinner with a side of dreaming spires, as their roof terrace sits on top of the Westgate. Their 50% off Mon-Weds offer has no £10 cap - making the rib eye steak a juicy £11!

Mollie’s Diner

The 50s-inspired eatery may well make you feel like you’re starring in a glitzy vintage film, but without the large production budget, since they’re offering EOTHO discounts on their breakfasts, burgers and shakes. Booking is essential and the restaurant is currently fully cashless.

Franco Manca

Tasty sourdough pizza can now be yours for as little as £2.60, while the kids’ menu (pizza, drink and ice cream) is just £2.50. The perfect excuse to dine al fresco in the newly-pedestrianised George Street.

Tap Social

The beer-based social enterprise is running a 'Septembeer' campaign: Drink Out To Help Out will see their locally-brewed deliciousness available for just £3 a pint on Mon-Weds, 5-8pm at their new venue, The White House horsebox. We'll raise a glass to that!

Deliveroo - Eat In To Help Out

The delivery giant is covering a £5 ‘Eat In To Help Out’ discount on orders of £20 or more, to encourage people to support smaller businesses. You’ll need to get in quick - the offer applies to the first 100,000 orders they get each week, nationwide. Local favourites that can be ordered through the site include Red Star (noodles), The Gardener’s Arms (vegetarian pub grub), La Cucina (Italian), Manos (Greek) and Dosa Park (Indian). To claim the discount, use these codes when you check out:
EATIN2 between 7th and 9th September.
EATIN3 between 14th and 16th Sept.
EATIN4 between 21st and 23rd Sept.
EATIN5 between 28th and 30th Sept.
