From the all-female theatre company Unholy Mess comes the one-woman show Above The Mealy-Mouthed Sea. This multi-layered performance merges poetry, song and storytelling into an oddly funny and touching piece. Jemima Foxtrot weaves together repressed childhood memories, incomplete jokes and American pop culture to create a unique narrative from three distinctive strands, using a loop pedal to create an emotive aural atmosphere. Unholy Mess focuses on stories of female experiences which are overlooked or underrepresented, so expect powerful subject matter explored in a unusual way.
