The School of Medieval European Fencing's website is gloriously, engagingly committed; packed with arcane and fascinating information, serious and detailed, and peppered with moments of wry humour and inspiring - or mildly alarming - quotes from 14th century meister Johannes Liechtenauer, considered to be the father of high medieval martial arts. It promises well for their longsword classes, which offer the committed student the chance to progress through the ranks of scholar, journeyman and provost all the way to meister.

Classes are aimed at age 13+, although junior classes can be organised on request.
