Exhibiton of eight new drawings by Quentin Blake, each one showing a different version of a grown-up Matilda.
The Roald Dahl Museum, 81-83 High Street, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire HP16 0AL, Tue 23 April - Sun 2 June 2019
The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre is a unique place, aimed at 5 to 12 year-olds, that celebrates the stories and legacy of Roald Dahl, the world’s number one storyteller.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the publication of Roald Dahl’s much-loved story about a brave little girl who loves books and hates bullies, Quentin Blake was asked to imagine what Matilda would have become as an adult. Each of these drawing are inspired by one of the extraordinary talents Matilda displays in the story, and can be seen alongside prints of the original Matilda illustrations from the book.
Come along to see what Matilda got up to, and to share your own dreams and aspirations for the future. And remember, as Matilda taught us, no matter how small and powerless you feel, it’s possible to stand up for what you believe in!
This exhibition of new Quentin Blake illustrations opened on World Book Day 7 March, and is closing soon on 2nd June!
