Two years after officially marking a decade since the release of Scouting For Girls’ unstoppable million-selling self-titled debut album, the band are excited to announce the release of a brand new album The Trouble With Boys, consisting of pop anthems set to have fans all over the world singing along in unison – recently released on 20th September.
SFG commented: “We are so excited to release The Trouble with Boys, our first studio album in four years. We’re really proud of it and genuinely feel it’s our best collection of songs since our debut. Both albums really benefited from the extra time and care we spent writing and recording them. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
Scouting For Girls will arrive in Oxford as part of their mammoth headline tour for Winter 2019. During their last tour in 2017, Scouting For Girls played to more people than they’ve ever played to before, celebrating their 2007 debut album that went on to become triple platinum Number 1 and birthed the generation-bridging anthems ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Elvis Aint Dead’ and ‘Heartbeat’.
SFG say “Touring is our very favourite aspect of being in this band. Our 2017 anniversary tour was so incredible that we’re pulling out all the stops to beat it. We’ve got a handful of new tunes, some old fan favourites we haven’t played for years plus all the big singles. We can’t wait.”
As well as announcing a headline tour for later this year, Scouting For Girls, who are Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Pete Ellard, have also played an extensive list of Summer Festivals.
Throughout Scouting For Girls’ immensely successful career they’ve sold over 1.5 million albums, two million singles, had four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination, had four top ten singles, sold out Wembley Arena, The Royal Albert Hall and most recently the London Palladium, and had a series of hit singles all of which were inescapable radio smashes. Scouting For Girls continue to prove they are unstoppable.
