The second most popular TV drama in America right now is based on a comic book series (The Walking Dead), coming in just behind one based on a fantasy novel series (Game of Thrones). Superheroes occupy our cinema screens as much now as they ever have, with a new Star Wars film every year. And this weekend they will occupy Aylesbury too, with its inaugural Comic Con taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be stalls at the theatre selling all the film props, comic books and costume supplies film and comic fans could need. There will also be a host of special guests across the weekend including Game of Thrones' Aimee Richardson, Red Dwarf's Hattie Hayridge and Wonder Woman's body double, Cez Williams, as well as film vehicles including The Mystery Machine: there's something for everyone at this year's Comic Con. And don't forget to come along as your favourite hero, sidekick or villain for the cosplay competition.
