Sandford on Thames sports a lovely, friendly little Farmers Market on Saturday Mornings, in the rather beautifully named village hall, The Talking Shop. As well as the traditional veg, bread, assorted craft and produce stalls, there's also a café which serves a fantastic brunch. It's a really nice family-friendly way to start the weekend.

This week they'll also be visited by the local apple press, so you can press your own juice. Don't worry - there'll be volunteers around to help, and use of the press is free. Just bring some apples and a sterilised container, and you can create delicious fresh juice.
