Cogges are no strangers to organising big family-friendly festivals, and for this year's Apple Day there's a lot going on. You can taste a range of heritage varieties from the orchard and the walled garden, and they'll identify your mystery apples for you. There's apple pressing going on, so you can taste different heritage juices fresh from the press! You can press your own apples if you bring them ready chopped, and don't forget a bottle or flask to take away some juice.
If straight-up apples aren't exciting enough there are toffee apples, apple crumble, and Cogges Cider, depending on your age. And if THAT'S not enough there's also live music, storytelling and craft activities.
Then to add a totally different note there are the Windrush Bowmen demonstrating archery and traditional weaving, and wearing period costume. And birds of prey from JET Falconry. Usual admission prices apply; free for under 3s and season-ticket holders.
