Other than the famous 1914 truce-inducing version of 'Silent Night', what songs did the soldiers fighting in the Great War sing to keep their spirits up? Lawyer Sir Stephen Sedley will be leading a talk on humorous trench songs, drawing from his discussion with veterans of the First World War.

Live music will be provided by the folk group Three Pressed Men and Friends and Prætorians Chair of the museum Marie-Jane Barnett. Three Pressed Men is made up of Dick Wolff, Ian Wheeler and Mark Fry who specialise in a capella vocal arrangements. Mulled wine and a mince pie are included in the entrance fee.
