When John Cooper Clarke accepted his honorary doctorate from Salford University, he announced that now he was a Doctor he'd be able to set up a cosmetic surgery business. Fortunately, he seems to have thought better of this, and instead carries on touring with his blend of manic anarchy, alternative thought, and atmospheric soundtracks.
