The Oxford Human Rights Festival presents a session with Transition by Design and Oxford Community-led Housing research project, with a focus on self-build housing. The session will screen the BBC documentary 'The House that Mum and Dad Built' (1982), that captures the stories of families involved in the first Walter Segal self-build project. This will be followed by an interactive panel discussion including Professor Nabeel Hamdi, one of the pioneers in participatory planning, and Lesley Dewhurst, CEO of Restore Oxford and former Chief Executive of Oxford Homeless Pathways.
