Oxford has many open mic nights and folk sessions, with something to suit all tastes for audiences and participants alike. If you like comedy, there's You Should Have Been Here Last Week at The James Street Tavern. For those who like poetry as well as music, there's Sparky's Flying Circus at The Half Moon. Lovers of contemporary music can head to the Harcourt Arms (Sunday Evenings), The Castle or The Old Bookbinders (Wednesday Evenings), The James Street Tavern (Sunday Afternoons) while folk fans can try Euro & Scandi Sessions at The White House (Abingdon Road) or The Plough (Wolvercote) or the Early English Folk or Shanty Sessions at The White Hart (Wolvercote). Whatever gets your toes tapping, you'll find something to enjoy in Oxford's music and performance scene.
