Oxford is very lucky to have a rich and broad cultural scene, which has been enhanced since 2017 by our very own pedal-powered lending library of poetry, the Oxford Poetry Library. The custom-built cargo bike transports the lending library around the city, combining some of Oxford's distinctively favourite things: books, bikes and community spirit!

The collection features books, pamphlets and zines, available as a resource for anyone interested in exploring poetry - contemporary or classic. It exists with the aim of building and strengthening a community of poetry readers, as well as providing a platform for promoting local poets' work.

You can borrow books by browsing the online catalogue and requesting them (either online or over email); alternatively, catch the poetry mobile appearing at a range of community events, fairs and markets throughout the year. These appearances are complemented by a range of events and readings run by the Oxford Poetry Library.
