Oxford Town Hall, St Aldate's, Oxford OX1 1DP, Sat 9 November 2019
Oxford Oxfam Group have been running the One World Fair as a flagship event for the past 29 years, providing a fantastic way of exploring how you can get (more) involved with supporting communities, both locally and on a more global scale.
This year Oxford Oxfam Group have once again partnered with Oxford Fair Trade Coalition to create a Fair Trade Festival, so alongside the stalls with produce and gifts, there will be a range of Fairtrade-focused talks and discussions. Layla Moran (prospective Parliamentary candidate for Oxford West and Abingdon) and Oxford Mayor Craig Simmons will open the fair at 10am. As in other years, there'll be a great range of stalls and information about campaigns, local and national, to get involved in. If you were looking for a charity to support this festive season, the fair would be a great place to start.
After you've been round, relax with hot drinks, home-made cake, and live music from local favourites Sea Green Singers and Oxford Classic Jazz.
Whether you're super-organised about Christmas shopping, looking for a chance to stock up on Fairtrade essentials or interested in finding out about a new cause to support, this event promises to be a rewarding day of positivity, fun and food!
