Project Shoebox Oxford is a community giving project which collects toiletries, gifts and food items to help women and families in refuges and shelters, particularly those fleeing domestic violence. This year, donations will be supporting Simon House, Refugee Resource, Asylum Welcome, and O'Hanlon House among other Oxfordshire causes.
Packing parties provide an accessible and very valuable volunteering opportunity at a time of year when so many people are celebrating - and some are left with nothing. Fun, festive, and feelgood.
Volunteering is flexible in terms of your time commitment, but if you don't have any spare hours but you would like to contribute, Project Shoebox is still encouraging donations of new and unopened toiletries, gifts and sweets, so if you have anything that could go in the gift boxes, email [email protected].
