Established almost 40 years ago by a group of Oxford-based artists, Artweeks is the UK’s original and most extensive festival of its kind. Every year, an improbably large number of venues (it’s 480 for 2019!) open their doors to the public, to support local artists, make art more accessible to the community and encourage stronger relationships between artists and potential buyers. Whether you’re a seasoned collector hoping to get your hands on something by the next big thing, or you’re interested in discovering more about the range of creative endeavours going on in your neighbourhood, there is truly something for everyone here.

Everywhere from galleries and arts centres to private studios and homes will be open, for free, so you can delight in finding new creations in unexpected places (or maybe even nosing around next door’s living room!).
