Naturehood Bee Walks

Naturehood is a new community wildlife project, running at two locations in Oxford, with the aim of forging 'Naturehoods' - areas with closely-connected green spaces that residents can watch over, collecting data about the wildlife that lives there and monitoring the impact of eco-friendly schemes and actions. Oxford's Naturehoods are starting off strong, with two family-friendly Bee Walks - one at Florence Park, and one at Milham Ford in Marston. The Bee Walks are guided by pollinator ecologist Emma Eatough, who will teach you all about the different kinds of bees and other pollinators you might see over the summer months.

The Bee Walks are free to attend, but please do book your place, as it's likely to fill up quickly! All attendees will get a free Naturehood Spotter's Guide, so you can explore spaces around your own home and identify the wildlife that lives there. If you get the bee-spotting bug, you can get more involved in Naturehood's future projects, and keep an eye on the bees, frogs, hedgehogs, sparrows and butterflies in your area.
