Pay a visit to the South Ward allotments between Kennington and Hinksey this weekend to get a taste of the pleasures and benefits of growing your own vegetables. Everyone is welcome for a get-together, picnic and barbecue, where prospective growers can meet current plot-holders and have a look around. Entry is free - bring your own picnic or something to put on the barbecue, and tea and cakes will be available.
