Low Carbon South Oxford (LCSO) have taken over the South Oxford Community Centre for the most recent edition of their Swap Shop this Saturday. The Swap Shop gives your unwanted goods a new owner and a new lease of life. If you've had a summer clearout, bring in your old clothes, toys, books and bric-a-brac between 9:45 and 10:30. Then, from 10:15 to 11:30, have a browse through what others have donated and take anything and everything that catches your eye - all for free. There will be a cafe to provide refreshments too - all that swapping can be thirsty work.
LCSO is committed to reducing the amount of household goods that go to landfill. Previous editions of the Swap Shop have received up to 600kg of unwanted goods in one morning, and have reused, recycled or upcycled everything by the end of the day. Why not help them push for an even bigger total, and pick up some great free items in the process?
