Creepy Crawlies - fun holiday music workshop for children in Reception - Year 2
Come and try out percussion, singing, composing, movement plus craft activities!
Abingdon Music Centre, Music Building, Larkmead School, Faringdon Road, Abingdon, OX14 1RF, Tue 29 October 2019
Once again, the Abingdon Music Centre is offering exciting musical activities over half term. While the all-day workshop for children in Years 3-6 has a Reggae theme, children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can enjoy a fun-packed morning on the theme of Creepy Crawlies. Children will enjoy minibeast related songs - not just via singing and vocal technique but also by playing instruments, composing and movement. There will be craft activities, including making a variety of paper-plate bugs.
The Creepy Crawlies session is led by Becky Ramsurn (musician and qualified/experienced primary teacher who teaches singing and cello in local schools) and Matt Winkworth (musician, award-winning composer, experienced singing teacher and leader of music theatre workshops for children and adults).
After the session is over, parents, carers and siblings can come and watch a short performance showcasing the morning's fun. The workshops take place at Abingdon Music Centre's base in the Music Building of Larkmead School. Contact admin@abingdonmusic.co.uk or phone 07934 364940 to reserve a place.
