Blackwells Bookshop, 48-51 Broad St, Oxford OX1 3BQ, Sat 9 November - Thu 21 November 2019

Oxford University Press have joined forces with Blackwell's to bring you Oxford Think Festival - a series of talks and presentations from a number of leading thinkers, writers and philosophers, all taking place in Blackwell's cavernous Norrington Room. Think Festival seeks to prompt discussion of key contemporary issues and celebrate the quest for knowledge.

In the festival curtain-raiser, Dr Jon Davis and John Rentoul question how the Tony Blair's tumultuous tenure as prime minister will be remembered. In later instalments, Quassim Cassam, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick, discusses 'vices of the mind', while Andrew Hindmoor, Head of the Department of Politics at the University of Sheffield, focuses on twelve formative days in the history of the United Kingdom. Looking further ahead, Fay Bound Alberti explores the history of loneliness, Tom McLeish uncovers the creative aspect of science, and there will also be a lecture from Richard Swinburne to mark World Philosophy Day. All events are free, but places are limited, so registration is strongly recommended!
