Citizens' Christmas starring Rowan Atkinson, plus music from Out of the Blue!
Rowan Atkinson, Out of the Blue, Kat Orman + comedy, carols, choirs to raise funds for Citizens Advice
Christ Church Cathedral, Christ Church College, St Aldate's, Oxford OX1 1DP, Thu 12 December 2019
Join Citizens Advice Oxford for a glittering festive celebration, ensconced in the grandeur of Christ Church Cathedral. Enjoy choirs, carols and a star studded line up, all in aid of one of Oxford's most used charities.
Special guests will include famous faces whose illustrious careers started here in Oxford: former Oxford Revue member and Mr Bean/Johnny English himself Rowan Atkinson, and Britain's Got Talent a capella rising stars Out of the Blue. Christ Church’s resident girls choir, the Frideswide Voices, will lead the carol singing.
The final headliner is as yet unknown, because they will be the winner of the Citizens Got Talent contest. In partnership with a host of local organisations, CAB are running the contest and inviting local performers of any kind to enter (deadline: 11th November) with a video of their performance. So if you know a person or group with a talent and a passion for performing, this could be their big break. Find details of the competition here.
The night will be MCed by BBC Radio Oxford presenter Kat Orman, and you can expect traditional festive touches like mince pies and mulled wine, all of which will support Citizens Advice Oxford to continue to offer free support to people from diverse communities all around the county.
Please note: some seats have restricted view but have access to TV screens for close-ups of performers and choirs. If you require a Wheelchair Space, please call 01865 305 305.
