Burns Night (25th January) marks the life and poetry of Robert Burns, and acts as a rollicking celebration of Scottish culture. The Perch Inn are holding a traditional supper with a series of creations from their Scottish Executive Chef, with whiskey being a main ingredient. They're not the only eatery offering Burns Night-related food but they will surely be one of the tastiest.

For something a little different, head on down to The Oxford Artisan Distillery. The culinary geniuses Native Feasts offer a night of cocktails and disco. Drinks include Irn-bru TOAD rye whisky sours and G&Ts, whilst there will be plenty of haggis, neeps & tatties and deep fried Mars Bars to sample.
