The Big Fix 2020

Part of a nationwide campaign to encourage people not to bin broken items - get them repaired by volunteers instead
Various venues around Oxfordshire, Sat 15 February 2020

Want to do your bit for the planet while also saving money? Stop chucking stuff away! Oxfordshire is home to several Repair Cafés, where you can bring along broken items (anything from small electricals to clothes to bikes) to be repaired by volunteers, in exchange for a donation – much cheaper and more eco-friendly than replacing them! These events have a social atmosphere and there’s often tea and cake available, inspiring a communal culture around waste reduction.

On 15th February, green groups in Bicester, Chinnor, Didcot and Headington will synchronise their Repair Cafés, joining in with The Big Fix, a nationwide campaign where 75 similar organisations around the country will be doing the same thing – hopefully saving thousands of items from landfill!
