To mark International Women’s Day the Cortnerstone Art Centre has a jam-packed week of events lined up. Proceedings kick off with a Nourish Wellness Morning, combining an hour of hatha yoga with a brunch served in the in-house café. There will also be a photo exhibition charting the history of the Women’s Institute, drawing on 100 years of activities.

A pair of fabulous shows comes to the Cornerstone during the week. First up there’s Ladykillers, a blood-soaked morality tale and jet-black comedy about the age of the gig economy. This is followed by stand-up comedy from the wonderful Sofie Hagen. Both are must-see shows.

The week is rounded off by a creative writing workshop on how to create authentic female characters and a photo exhibition celebrating the works of Anna Atkins and Lucia Moholy.
