‘Chuckle Vision’ fills the proscenium arch as mind boggling big box illusions cast a spell over keen Chuckle Brothers’ fans who are boldly told to ‘Get out of it!’. This two hour show contains fun for kids and a ‘Goldilocks’ slapstick number to keep the parents occupied. The theme of the show is space travel and so our onstage characters include Spotty and Lieutenant O’Hara. The plan is to head for the sun but so they don’t get burnt the Chuckle Brothers decide to go at night! The gags are fast and furious and told at such a pace you forget you may have heard a few before. The comedy routines are delivered impeccably - such as the pheasant passed from pillar to post in a carrier bag as an unpleasant present because it has gone past its smell by date! The show offers timeless children’s humour told with such warmth, the personable characters have evolved their own euphemisms such as the greeting ‘Hello-ah!’ After the interval a UV show welcomes the audience back to their seats with ‘no slacking!’ The catch phrases boom across the theatre as these much loved characters reassure the children that the Chuckle Brothers will be on TV tomorrow.
