OYMT's performance was flawless and some of the vocals had much more depth and feeling than even the original Disney film.
The characters that shone were the Beast (Joe Harrison) whose combination of an impressively strong yet emotional voice and perfect acting made for an excellent performance, and also Lumière (Harry McCarthy) who if I may say so, was made for the role. He gave a fantastic and uplifting edge to the production and dazzled in 'Be Our Guest'.
However the one that with out a doubt stood out the best was Charlotte Smith as the lead 'belle'. Her voice is exquisite and her acting flawless. She carried the performance with greater confidence and expression than Disney's original on film and the on stage version. Her vocals were completely perfect and the emotion within her acting and singing was very real and brought on waves of strong emotion on several occasions.
Overall the production was amazing and I completely enjoyed the whole thing. I am now anticipating next year's production which I will most definitely be attending. Well done to the whole of the OYMT cast and production team. Outstanding.
