Oxford International Women's Festival

Oxford's 29th annual celebration of women's history, politics and achievements.

The 29th Oxford International Women's Festival promises to be as action-packed as it has been in previous years, with over two weeks of workshops, talks, walks and gatherings. On its opening day, Saturday 24th February, attendees can try a mindfulness taster session that can offer help in dealing with stress, anxiety or other issues. For those who want to learn a more tangible skill, there is a Bloomers and Bicycles workshop, which celebrates two inventions that opened up women's freedom of movement at the turn of the century. This workshop will teach you how to make a bicycle saddle cover, and your very own pair of bloomers to wear whilst you pedal!

The Oxford International Women's Festival officially opens on Saturday 24th February, and runs until Sunday 11th March. It is held at various locations throughout the city. The majority of venues are wheelchair accessible, and the accessibility and facilities of each venue are flagged up in the festival's brochure.
