Various venues in Oxford, Wed 8 May - Sun 12 May 2019

Landing in Oxford for a fourth year, the Oxford International Film Festival brings a weekend of cinematic must-sees to two iconic venues. The festival kicks of at the Ultimate Picture Palace with an eclectic mix of short films, taking in visions of human connection in the future, bonding between a father and son, and journeys back to some of our darkest points in history.

From here the festival moves to the Curzon for four days of Arthouse, indie and World cinema. Films to look out for include Celeste, a powerful drama about a widow coming to terms with the loss of her husband, and Above the Clouds, a comedy about a road trip to Scotland in pursuit of a meeting with a biological father. Documentary highlights include films focusing on the likes of Hollywood producing legend Sam Piegel and comedy icon Gilda Radner.
