Enjoy a selection of fun activities including tours, sensory children's activities, poetry and picnics, while exploring Oxford's beautiful botanic garden. No need to book, just turn up and join in! Most events are free with a suggested donation.


Using Your Senses - Under 5s Event

Use your senses to explore the Garden. Smell lovely flowers, listen to bird song, find a rainbow of petals and do some taste-testing to find your favourite fruit! Includes craft and gardening activities and stories.

Art in the Garden

Drop-in activity. Create a beautiful, impressionistic artwork in response to the Garden’s colourful borders and plantings. No experience necessary! All materials supplied.

A Garden of Inspiration

Find out a little about the history of the oldest botanic garden in the UK. Plus, hear how the Garden has inspired writers and artists through the years.

Relax: Reflect: Refresh

Relax with your picnic lunch and immerse yourself in a world of poetry created in response to gardens and nature.
