The Oxford Windrush Festival kicks off this Saturday with theatrical performances, taster workshops, storytelling & more. Saturday the 19th of June will kick off a week-long programme of events marking Windrush Day 2021. Organised by the Oxford Windrush Group, this week-long festival of events will include theatrical performances, talks, workshops, exhibitions and more. Between 10am and 3pm on the 19th, a day of family-friendly events will be taking place at the Templars Square shopping centre in Cowley. Drop into ‘See, Think, Wonder, Create’ to experience taster workshops, story-telling, performance demonstrations, and even a carnival with steel pan, African drums, and dancing! Discover fascinating objects & specimens from the museums and gardens of the University of Oxford and get creative with arts & crafts activities supported by Museum of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University.
