Before he became a mega-star Johnny Depp starred in quirky, charming films. Few have ever matched Edward Scissorhands, a strange, often brilliant fairytale from Tim Burton. It tells the story of a young boy made by an inventor (Vincent Price in one of his last roles) who is left incomplete with fierce metal blades for fingers. He is discovered by the outside world where he gains fame for the use of his hands in the grooming of hair and hedges.

It is a quintessential Tim Burton film (coming off the smash hits Beetlejuice and Batman), an outlandish, funny, oddly affecting watch filled with brilliant touches. It is worth seeing for the ice sculpting scene alone! Plus for Stranger Things fans it has Winona Ryder as the love interest.
