Over the past six decades Sheila Hancock has starred in films as diverse as Carry on Cleo, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, and The Russian Bride (which she received a BAFTA nomination for). Now she tackles Edie, with a narrative that rests squarely on her acting talent. The film tells the story of a widow who seeks to re-engage with her youth. And she does this by climbing Mount Suilven in Scotland.

Set on a backdrop of the stunning Scottish Highlands and with a support turn from the up-and-coming Kevin Guthrie (Dunkirk and Sunshine on Leith), Edie promises to be a fascinating British indie drama, with a powerful story at its core.
