If you've seen a Gaspar Noé flick you'll understand that they tend to be films that are endured, not enjoyed. And Climax is no different. A 90 minute decent into hell, it tells the story of a dance troupe whose all-night celebration morphs into a hallucinatory nightmare due to spiked punch. The camera swirls and whirls around the dancers, all soundtracked to a kick ass collection of disco tunes.

And yet, for all the horrific qualities of Noé's work, Climax may be his most approachable film to date, one that comfortably played both at Frightfest Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival. It certainly isn't for the faint of heart and is likely to be a one time only watch, but you won't have seen anything quite like it.
