Do not go to see this movie if you have recently lost someone you love, otherwise you will end up weeping all the way through it and your small daughter will pretend not to know you. Otherwise I expect you will find it very enjoyable, though I suspect that even for the not-bereaved it will still be a five Kleenex weepie. Hilary Swank does grief very well - she physically captures the combination of anxiety, lethargy, and extreme pain. Gerard Butler is scrumptious as the deceased husband, as is the bloke who played tasty Irish treat William. Kathy Bates was, as always, excellent as the heroine's mum. It's well-written, good on relationships, well worth seeing.
