Pripyat is the purpose-built residential city for the workers of Chernobyl and their community; c. 50,000 people were evacuated over two days in 1986 and now the ugly blocks of flats are quietly crumbling away. It's true that you can get guided tours to see round the sad grey ghost-town, but now that they've made this movie, guess what, you don't need to. Unusual setting, standard plot, not FX driven (at ALL), sound script, engaging and convincing actors, reasonably scary, slightly disappointing monsters, but on the whole pleasingly grim and horrible. Worth a look.
