Well it does have some laugh-out-loud moments and it starts like a real classic British comic gem... but it just doesn't go anywhere. It lacks any twists or real surprises. After the first hilarious "accident" the rest are too obvious. If it's your first Ben Wheatley movie, then you'll love it, and the good news is you've a treat in store with 2 of his previous movies, Kill List and Down Terrace- more gory deaths but with real plots and laughs along the way this time.

Thud! Squelch! Splat! The sound effects man must have had a field day with this one.

Chris takes Tina away for a week to escape her controlling mother. It's meant to be romantic, and it is in a way but it's also comically horrific. I've no idea if every caravan trip is punctuated with multiple episodes of brutal murder but after watching this film, I can now fully believe the possibility of it happening.

This is a brilliantly written, darkly, horribly, shockingly funny British movie; one which I watched in stunned silence when I wasn't laughing out loud.
