The film excels at portraying the seedy and pernicious relationship between politicians, sex and power; the 70s has never felt so real. But despite being billed as a conspiracy thriller it totally lacks any conspiracy! Right from the start the whole scenario is played out, with each step of the movie already understood. It's in swedish so I had expected it to get lost somewhere in translation, but it didnt, so it must be kids play for swedes to understand. And at 2hrs20mins it's just much too long.

Klute it is not! In fact it doesnt really come close to any of the 70s Hollywood conspiracy thrillers.
