    Pub
This long, narrow pub is where Tolkien, C.S Lewis and other Inklings used to drink for 30 years or so. You will occasionally hear it referred to as the Bird and Baby. There has been a pub on this site since 1650. Small conservatory at rear is available for private functions (though avoid the undersides of the tables, or you will discover what 360 years of sticky beer residue does to your trousers).

Pizza forms a large part of Exprizza's menu, but though they are inspired by Italian traditions they have also diversified, offering kebabs, tikka dishes and biryani, gourmet burgers, lamb chops, seekh kebabs, chips and coffee. Their food is halal. Rather charmingly, they state "To us a pizza is not just a round circle of bread with sauce and cheese; it is a constantly evolving creation." which is definitely a mission statement we can all get behind. They also cater for meetings and conferences, and offer a special rate on a minimum order of 5 pizzas, with no delivery charge to OX1, OX2, OX3 or OX4. For smaller orders a delivery charge applies.

Drinks and food are served in both the bar and the dining room. Having two distinctly separate areas to dine gives us the opportunity to satisfy different dining occasions. The bar suits a quick informal meal for two or perhaps a large get together of old friends all of which may not wish to eat and would like to draw from the bar atmosphere. The dining room is ideal for couples who wish for greater intimacy or a special gathering with family and friends.
