    The Nut Tree is a traditional village pub which serves great modern British food in the restaurant but is still somewhere you can stop and have a pint or relaxing drink at the end of a hard day’s work. Even our own Nut Tree ales and our friends’ own gin! Within the 15th century thatched building you’ll find a mix of locals and visitors enjoying real ales, fine wines, excellent food and attentive service.     A literal stone's throw from Carfax, the crossroads that marks the centre of the city of Oxford, Old Tom has provided a welcome watering hole for Oxford's town and gown since at least the end of the 17th century. In its three or so centuries of history, Old Tom has enjoyed many faces.
