The church itself was built in the late 12th century, with a tower added in the 15th century. It's built of Headington stone, and has murals above the chancel arch. In terms of congregation, though, it's decidedly up to date. The church's website says the following:
If you are looking for the perfect church, St Nicholas is probably not for you. But if you are excited about the possibility of joining a group of men, women and children (of all ages) who are fascinated by Jesus, and want to make sense of 21st century life by trying to follow him, then you may find this a place you can be comfortable.

Re accessibility, the church and church hall both have wheelchair-accessible toilets with baby changing facilities, and hymn books are available in large print and braille. Messy Church is a family-friendly informal style of worship welcoming to all.
