We are hiring! Pitt Rivers Museum Visitor Experience Assistant. Variable Hours. Casual Contract (12 weeks from June – September 2025). Are you someone who’s passion about creating great experiences? Then we want to hear from you. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to join our team this summer as casual visitor experience assistants at the Pitt Rivers Museum. The Pitt Rivers Museum showcases over 500,000 objects of anthropology and world archaeology. The Visitor Experience team are at the heart of the museum, sharing its stories and histories to visitors from everywhere. Welcoming and making everyone feel at home and inspired, supporting the shops space and encouraging visitor donations. An interest in museums and a passion for delivering great experiences to everyone is essential. No background knowledge of the specific collections is required, you will learn a lot while you are here! You will be part of our dynamic team, and essential to the opening and smooth operation of the museum during our busiest summer period. Role includes standing and walking for several hours per day; reasonable adjustments can be made. Full training will be provided which will include retail. Shifts will take place between 10-5pm Tuesdays – Sundays, and 12-5pm on Mondays. Occasional bank holiday and evening shifts.
