I spent a wonderful Friday evening last night ensconced in the Unicorn Theatre in Abingdon, being transported into Terry Pratchett's wonderful and (let's face it) wacky Discworld.
Based on the life of the wizard character Rincewind, this new play was a delight to watch for both Discworld and theatre fans alike. Congratulations are due to Stephen Briggs for producing a script accessible to all viewers, and to a wonderful cast for bringing it to life - ably headed by Dan Booth as Rincewind.
I also have to take a moment to mention the props: from a many-legged trunk to tiny sea- (or should that be space- ?) turtles, the attention to detail was truly impressive for an amateur production.
In brief: a great production, well written and produced, and pulled off by an excellent cast in which I can find no weak links.
