The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau is a fantastic piece of cinema. It follows the same plot as the Disney film but adds its own uniqueness and originality. It's nostalgic for the Disney film but doesn't dwell on it, and is willing to take it'd own new direction. It doesn't make you forget the original, but not afraid to remind you of it either.
The CGI is just perfect, you really feel swept into a jungle and the voice acting is just superb! Idris Elba is fantastic as Shere Khan, Bill Murray wonderful as Baloo and Christopher Walken pulls off King Louie perfectly!
Neel Sethi as Mowgli was absolutely awesome! Consider how he is a child actor, in his first big film acting against nothing but green screens, yet he still pulls off a brilliant performance.
Finally, the music. It isn't over-used but ties in perfectly and the slight modern twist (only slight) on the classics make them all the better.
Hugely recommend this to you; I know you'll love it
