This series of 4 Lenten Concerts is in aid of three charities: Helen and Douglas House, Médecins sans Frontières and Amnesty International. The concerts are free to the public, and the retiring collection is voluntary. Concerts are each Tuesday at 6:15 (people can arrive from 6 pm) and will last no more than 45 minutes. Perfect for going home time with a calm pause on the way!

The music will be heavenly: Buxtehude – Membra Jesu Nostri and Haydn – The Seven Last Words of Christ. Each week we will be hearing two different pieces from the 7 Buxtehude cantatas and the 7 string quartets of Haydn. And in between each piece will be brief, planned silences so people will have time just to reflect. To hear all 7 Last Words you'll have to come to all the concerts!

The musicians (all professional, and donating their time) will be playing period instruments. And as well as the music some Oxfordshire artists, also professional, have contributed artwork such as sculpture and icons.

Come, see, hear and be refreshed.
