As a regular attendee of youth theatre, I was very impressed with the standard at which all of the children were performing. What impressed me most though was the fact that they had only had ten days to make such a polished performance.
It was obvious that all the cast and crew had worked extremely hard on this production but there were certain people who never faulted in their roles:
Joe Harrison, who played Bugsy, appeared to be extremely confident and acted like a professional despite being just fifteen years old.
Hannah Mullan put in a convincing performance as Blousey Brown and her solo I'm Feeling Fine in Act Two didn't leave a dry eye in the house.
Keith Henderson put in a great performance as Fat Sam with his loud voice and remained constantly in character.
Frankie Williams was a very strong Tallulah. She acted the part well and her voice matched the superb acting.
James Baker as Dandy Dan really suited the role. He performed absolutely faultlessly.
Alex Henderson as Fizz sang and danced brilliantly in Tomorrow. His voice was strong and his moves matched this.
Some of the younger cast members like Lydia Waldman and Maliq Henry were very entertaining and recieved a round of applause after their solo pieces.
The set was good, the costumes were good, the chooreography was good but the best thing was the sheer determination on the children's faces.
A brilliant show.
