A pretty strange little film; worth seeing for the sheer contrast with modern cinema. It's pretty flickery still, even though it's been recently remastered. It contains a few well-known scenes from the book rather than the whole plot. Not being an aficionado of silent films, the closest thing I have to compare it with is the Monty Python "wacky queen" film with Queen Victoria & Gladstone. Perhaps this colours my vision a bit. The rabbit's certainly satisfyingly surreal.
Would I see it again? No. Would I recommend seeing it once, for curiosity's sake? Yes.
