I am quite the convert to Beeline Bicyles. I went there this week to buy a decent bike to replace my ten tonne heap of rust. Since I was graduating from a meagre 5 gears to the craziness of a world in which you can have 21 gears, they gave me a lesson in how it all works. They set me up to test-drive 5 bikes multiple times, and smiled patiently as they explained things for the zillionth time to my addled brain. They are friendly without being pushy, non-patronising to the bicycally-challenged, and they really know their stuff. They will set you up with a bike that's right for you, not sell you the most expensive thing in the shop. They even transferred my bits and bobs like light brackets from my old bike to the new wondrous creation. It was the best example of good customer service I have seen all year so I wanted to say thanks by recommending them to the good folk of Oxford. And I'm not even related to any of them!
