Not one of Ken Loach's best!

Whilst Attlee's 1945 Labour government accomplished some extraordinary achievements this documentary film does not. I'm a life long "socialist" and I found the film dull, misleading and overly sentimental. And surely if you offer the testimony of some very worthy 80 year olds, then we have the right to hear some new ideas on how to reach the utopian beliefs of the "spirit of 45" from some of our young socialists of today. But no, it ends with little hope, just the bulldozer of capitalism casting the shadow of death over our once proud people! So if the intention of the film was to attempt to attract younger viewers to foster the ideals of democratic socialism, in my opinion, it fails miserably.
